Tips for optimal + clean burning of your Wyldflower Candles:
› Always Trim your wick 1/8-1/4” before lighting the candle. If the wick gets too long you will notice black burn marks on the jars. This happens even with soy candles that don’t produce black soot. You can do this with scissors however using a wick trimmer is best.
› Keep your burning candle away from any drafts such as a heating vent or open window. If your flame is dancing around your candle isn’t going to burn evenly. With a calm burning flame you will get even wax melt and avoid any tunneling in your candle.
› Don’t burn your candle for longer than 4 hours at time. The ideal time for burning your candle at one time is 2-3 hours. If you burn your candle for too long at one time it gets too hot and begins to evaporate fragrance oil which will mean your candle won’t be as yummy smelling.
› When putting out your candle you have a few options. You can blow your candle out and if choosing this method we suggest placing your index finger in front of the flame and blowing gently. This will lessen any chance of the wax splattering. Alternatively you can use a candle snuffer or the lid of the jar.
› If you spill any wax from our soy + coconut candles simply wipe up with soap and water. If you spill wax on your carpet or fabric you can remove it using paper towel and an iron. Place the paper towel over the spill and then put the iron on top of the paper towel. The heat from the iron will cause the wax to melt and it will be absorbed into the paper towel. Please do not leave the iron on the paper towel as the paper towel is insanely flammable.
› Always burn candles in a well ventilated space. Keep out of reach of pets + children. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
› We suggest using electric wax warmers with our melts. Simply pop out a square, place it in your melter and turn it on. Always remember to shut off your melter when finished. The wax will re-harden and be ready for you to use again next time.
